Unoriginal Hat

Well I got the yarn and I what a quick knit this one was. It is the Yarn Harlot, Unoriginal Hat in Blue Moon Fiber Leticia yarn and the color is "In the Navy". Total time knitting was less than 3 hours. I just love quick stuff. Finishing this hat couldn't come at a better time since the ground is covered in ice right know and we are expecting snow tonight.

Mystery Stole 3 Finished

I know am I probably one of the last one to finish Melanie beautiful stole but I finally finished it. I love the color. It went fast when I had time to knit. I can't wait for MS4. I did do the symmetrical finish and skipped the wing. While I loved the look of the wing, I knew I would prefer the ends to be the same. I was actually happy that I was behind everyone else because it made making this decision so much easier.

Here is a picture of the join.

Ravelry and MS3

I'm on Ravelry. Talk about time consuming. I haven't even add any pictures yet. I have just been looking at groups, people and other people's pictures.

In the knitting world, I started clue 4 on the MS3 project. Still can't decide if I going to do the wing or make it match. I'm really leaning towards the 2nd.

Got some more Seasilk from The Loopy Ewe. I love this stuff. In fact the MS3 is being knitted on some. I hope Sheri doesn't get any more in for while. My wallet needs a break.

Are you a Dog or Cat?

You Are: 90% Dog, 10% Cat

You're a dog at heart - and it's not a bad thing at all!
You love unconditionally, and you're extremely loyal.
And while you may act silly at times, you're really quite smart - and a good learner!

I've been tagged

I have been tagged so I am going to give it my best try. 7 Random facts about me:

1. I grew up in the army. We moved 28 times by the time I was 16. I went to so many schools, it's not funny. One year, I went to 4 different schools in the same school year.

2. I met my husband at high school graduation practice. He sat next to me since both of our last names started with the same letter.

3. I hate to drive. I don't like to drive anywhere. Given the choice I would rather be the passenger in the car.

4. I had eplipesy. It started when I was 19 and lasted until I was 33. I had hormonal seizures and surgery fixed it.

5. #4 leads up to this one. I had a serious of seizures when I was 25 that caused me to lose most of my memory. This has been strange for me. I know the words to songs but can remember going to the prom. I know my husband but can remember getting married (thankfully there is a video).

6. I dropped out of college, thanks to #4. I went back at 27 and at the age of 29 graduated with honors.

7. #5 made it impossible to have children. Which is my greatest regret in life. I love kids. If you know me in person, you know that I babysit for everyone that kids love me.

My house building has started

As you can see they started the dirt work for our house on Monday. The concrete was poured on Tuesday and of course it is suppose to rain the rest of the week. Hopefully in about 15 weeks, I will have a new home and will be moving.

Also on Monday my furniture finally arrived. It took the movers almost 4 weeks to get it to us. This has been a nightmare. The movers lied and lied, then they delivered to 2 families before us. They also picked up 2 other families households before they came to us. They are suppose to make their deliveries and then do their pick ups but they didn't.

Also look arrived it is my scarf from my scarf exchange partner. The picture doesn't do it justice. It is a made out of Rowanspun and in a wonderful deep dark red with flecks of colors throughout. Susan, you did the best job. Thank you. My husband didn't understand that it is a scarf that and thought it was strange until I showed him how it works. Then he was saying "that is cool". I hope to fine a pattern for this so I can make some more.

Last hurdle cleared

The last hurdle has been cleared on closing the house, we had the inspection by the buyers on the stuff they wanted fixed. It looks like we may be able to close this Friday and not on Tuesday which means dh can leave on Saturday. Furniture is getting picked up tomorrow.

Did I menition that my parents are coming on 28th. They had already planned this trip before we got the offer on the house. It will work out wonderfully because this means more hands to put the junk, I mean stuff away.

This also means my computer is coming and I won't have to go to the library to read my personal emails since I can't check my email from work. Stupid block!

3 more weeks

Keeping my fingers cross for the close date of 9/26 on my house. Furniture is getting picked up on the 21st and dh is leaving on the close date. Just a few more weeks and this nightmare will be over.

On a knitting note, I have about 10 more rows left on the back of my cable sweater. Then I get to start the front side. I love the
Andrean Silk from Knit Picks yarn. It feels great and is an Alpaca mix which is very soft.

Beautiful Fall Day in the Ozarks

Today is a wonderful fall day in the Ozarks. The highs are barely going to make the 70s today. It has rained for the last few days, so the grass is greening again. I so hope that aren't anymore 100. I should have my camera back this weekend and will post some updated project pictures.

So I did it, I signed up for the Scarf Exchange #3. There are several people from KR that signed up. D*** KR, why do I go and read all those friendly emails and find these exchanges. Shame on me! I'm sure I will like it but I always get behind. I will try to be better this time.

Knitting Quiz

I took the knitting quiz and I'm a knitting guru. Who would have thought it? Here is the link Quiz. I got the quiz from CraftyBernie, who got it from another blog site.

Here is what a Knitting Guru is:
You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting and do it all the time. While finishing a piece is the plan, you still love the process, and can't imagine a day going by without giving some time to your yarn. Packing for vacation involves leaving ample space for the stash and supplies. It can be hard to tell where the yarn ends and you begin.

Socks from my class

Here is a picture of my socks that we knitted in my sock class at Hand Held Knitting in Fayetteville, AR. They are from Cat's book and I like them. I got ambitious and learned to knit 2 socks at the same time on circs. The class was only for knitting 1 sock on circs but thanks to socknitters.com, I was able to finish 2 socks at the same time.

Thank you LInda

I received a bag from Linda from the Tote Exchange. It came a few weeks ago but I have been in and out of town (going back and forth to California), so I'm finally getting a chance to post a picture of it. I love this back.
