Scarf Exchange

So I did it, I signed up for the Scarf Exchange #3. There are several people from KR that signed up. D*** KR, why do I go and read all those friendly emails and find these exchanges. Shame on me! I'm sure I will like it but I always get behind. I will try to be better this time.

Saw your link on a comment you made on Knitter's Review Forums and thought I would stop in and say hello.

I haven't joined any knitting exchanges yet myself because I am fearful of not finishing the project on time, or it won't be 'perfect' enough to send. Some day when I get a little more confidence maybe...

I'm also looking into starting a knit along and have mentioned that in my latest post on my own blog. I'm hoping it will be successful and that others will join in as well. It's not started yet, as it's still in the planning stages.

I've just done a sock exchange, and it was fun. I wasn't worried about finishing because I knit so obsessively that I get things done fast, but I was worried, like you said, Shelley, about it being "good enough". What I discovered is that people are not judgemental at all--just thrilled to get a handknit gift (since we knitters are always giving, not necessarily receiving such gifts).

shelley you should join. If you run late all you have to do is let them know that you are running late. Life happens and people understand.

I think people like getting knitted gifts from other knitters. Don't worry about the quality. Remember you are probably your own worst ememy in regards to judging your knitting skills.

Hi, Wanda, came over to visit and see what the Ozarks are like (got a book on my shelf right behind me here called Ozark Ozark, how's that for coincidence?) I haven't joined any exchanges yet either, because I haven't found any. But I suspect they'll find me ere long.
Autumn approaches here in Ireland. How is it with you?

Wonderful day, a great feeling of fall today. I will be so happy to have summer over. Ireland is one of those places I have always dreamed of going to but don't know why, other than it is super pretty there. I'm not Irish so I don't feel the pull of my ancestry roots. Maybe I'm Irish in my heart.
